Village Cancer Walk Set for Saturday, Sept. 30

Join Village residents and others on Saturday, Sept. 30, Hot Springs Village residents to walk along the Hernando and Balboa trails to support cancer research. All funds raised will benefit the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at University of Arkansas Medical Sciences. All funds raised will stay in Arkansas.

Opening ceremonies start at 7:30 a.m. rain or shine at the Balboa Pavilion at 476 Ponce de Leon Drive, in Hot Springs Village.

“We look forward to this event,” she said, noting “this will be our second year starting at the Balboa Pavilion on beautiful Lake Balboa.”

“The Village Walk for Cancer Research is the largest fund raising event for cancer research in the Village,” said Melanie Pederson, Cancer Walk chairperson.

“The Walk brings together survivors, family members of those who have lost loved ones, and the community. We couldn’t do this without … our planning team who spends countless hours working to ensure a smooth and successful Walk.”  Registration is $35.
